Newspaper Marketing
The Roscommon County Weekly is a community newspaper highlighting St. Helen, Roscommon, Houghton Lake, Higgins, Lake, Prudenville, Lake James, Houghton Lake Heights, Maple Valley, and Kirtland Community College. Started in November of 2010 as The FISH, our newspaper has grown to become a popular county wide publication. Being a locally owned and operated newspaper we have been able to provide a personal touch by being at more events and meetings and by portraying all events as important and relevant to the community irregardless of the size of the event or group.
Our newspaper is available on newstands in various businesses throughout Roscommon County as well as a few select businesses in Grayling and West Branch. Newstand price is only fifty cents which not only gets you more information and more coverage than the other local newspapers but it is also in FULL COLOR! We are also available online at www.RoscoWeekly.com. Online subscriptions are available.
Our advertising rates are lower than the competition and we throw in the color for free! When compared to some of our competitors this is a savings of over $100. Why do we not charge for color? Well, our question would be why would anyone advertise in black and white with todays technology. We don't charge for color because it should not be an option over black and white.
